What better way to enjoy the wonderful views of Venice than on this 6-hour private, boat tour. You will have an unforgettable experience sailing from island to island around the Venetian lagoon, together with your expert guide as you visit Murano, Burano and Torcello Islands.
Meet your guide in St. Mark’s Square and this is where your adventure will begin. Be welcomed onboard by the crew on your private boat before sailing over to Murano Island.
Murano Island is the most famous island of the lagoon for its glass making tradition. Here you can explore the island on foot, stroll beside the canals, visit the many artisans making Murano glass products and not to be missed, a glass making demonstration to see how the glass is blown into beautiful shapes and colours from a professional glass-blower.
From here you’ll head towards Burano Island, an enchanting fishing island. Famous for its many, brightly coloured houses and its lace production. Walk around the island and discover the famous Biblioteca (library), the lace museum, the Istrian well dating back to 1588 and Burano’s own leaning tower.
Sail over to the laid-back island, Torcello. One of the first islands to be inhabited, yet today only has a handful of residents, mainly gardeners and fishermen. Visit the famous restaurant, Locanda Cipriani for lunch, made known by Ernest Hemingway who frequented the place. Don’t miss the Byzantine mosaics of the oldest church in the lagoon, Santa Maria Assunta Basilica and Museum.
This is a true Venetian experience as you discover the lagoon islands by boat and see some of the less visited tourist sites, away from the hordes. For sure it will be a day to remember!
